Mijn principes
K-Bytes staat voor meer dan technische kennis en certificeringen. De manier waarop ik werk en omga met opdrachtgevers, collega’s en de samenleving is even belangrijk als het resultaat dat ik lever.
Integriteit en onafhankelijkheid
Ik geef altijd eerlijk en onafhankelijk advies, ook als dat niet het advies is dat een opdrachtgever wil horen. Commerciële belangen spelen geen rol in mijn adviezen; het belang van de opdrachtgever en de maatschappij staat voorop.
Gelijke behandeling
Ik behandel iedereen gelijk, ongeacht achtergrond, nationaliteit, overtuiging, geloof, geslacht of seksuele gerichtheid. Discriminatie in welke vorm dan ook tolereer ik niet: niet in mijn eigen werk, niet bij opdrachtgevers en niet in de adviezen die ik lever.
Vertrouwelijkheid
Informatie die ik ontvang in het kader van een opdracht behandel ik strikt vertrouwelijk. Ik ga zorgvuldig om met gevoelige informatie en deel deze nooit zonder expliciete toestemming.
Geopolitieke bewustwording
De internationale geopolitieke situatie heeft directe invloed op het dreigingsbeeld voor organisaties in Nederland. Ik houd de ontwikkelingen op het gebied van statelijke dreigingen, geopolitieke spanningen en de impact daarvan op informatieveiligheid actief bij. Die vertaal ik naar concrete, praktische adviezen voor mijn opdrachtgevers, zodat zij niet alleen voldoen aan wet- en regelgeving, maar ook weerbaar zijn tegen de dreigingen van morgen.
Verantwoord digitaliseren
Ik geloof in een digitale samenleving die veilig, toegankelijk en eerlijk is voor iedereen. Ik adviseer mijn opdrachtgevers niet alleen over compliance en wetgeving, maar ook over de bredere maatschappelijke impact van digitale keuzes.

Integrity and independence
I always give honest and independent advice, even when it is not the advice a client wants to hear. Commercial interests play no part in my advice; the interests of the client and of society come first.

I treat everyone equally, regardless of background, nationality, conviction, religion, gender or sexual orientation. I do not tolerate discrimination in any form: not in my own work, not at clients and not in the advice I deliver.
Confidentiality
Information I receive in the course of an assignment is treated as strictly confidential. I handle sensitive information with care and never share it without explicit consent.

The international geopolitical situation directly affects the threat landscape for organisations in the Netherlands. I actively follow developments in state threats, geopolitical tensions and their impact on information security. I translate these into concrete, practical advice for my clients, so that they not only comply with laws and regulations but are also resilient against the threats of tomorrow.
Responsible digitalisation
I believe in a digital society that is safe, accessible and fair for everyone. I advise my clients not only on compliance and legislation, but also on the broader societal impact of digital choices.
